An Island Disappears from Satellites 2014

Scroll down for the video

Sandy Island (French Name: Île de Sable) is an island that was charted for over a century as being located near the French territory of New Caledonia between the Chesterfield Islands and Nereus Reef in the eastern Coral Sea. The island was included on many maps and nautical charts from as early as the late 19th century, and gained wide media and public attention in November 2012 when an Australian surveyor ship, passed through the area and "undiscovered" it. The island was quickly removed from many maps and data sets, including those of the National Geographic Society and Google Maps. This modern paranormal event ties in with many myth of disappearing islands. In 2014 The American Navy sent a team of divers and scientist to the area where Sandy Island was located and their conclusion was that the island did not sink and to add to the mystery the ocean reached a depth of 4600 feet. This is not the first time an Island has disappeared over the earths oceans, the mystery of an Island named Hy-Brasil is now being accepted as a real island rather than a myth told by sailors over the centuries. Did you know that the UFO incident over Rendlesham Forest directly ties to the island of Hy-Brasil? testimony was given by the Rendlesham Forest UFO ALIEN abduction victims where by they stated that they were given the coordinates to the island of Hy-Brasil as a place for human alien contact.

The abductee had never heard of Hy-Brasil or its mythological existence. Hy-Brasil currently known as a phantom island which is said to lie in the Atlantic Ocean west of Ireland. In Irish myths it was said to be cloaked in mist, except for one day every seven years, when it became visible. other such islands said to exist in the Atlantic are: Atlantis, Antillia, Saint Brendan's Island, and the Isle of Mam. The Rendlesham Forest incident is the name given to a series of reported sightings of unexplained lights and the alleged landing of a craft or multiple craft of unknown origin in Rendlesham Forest, Suffolk, England, in late December 1980, just outside RAF Woodbridge, used at the time by the U.S. Air Force. Dozens of USAF personnel were eyewitnesses to various events over a two- or three-day period. It is the most famous UFO event to have happened in Britain, ranking amongst the best-known UFO events worldwide. Along with the Berwyn Mountain UFO incident, it has been compared to the Roswell UFO incident in the United States, and is sometimes referred to as "Britain's Roswell". The Ministry of Defense (MoD) stated the event posed no threat to national security, and that it therefore never was investigated as a security matter.

Later evidence indicated that there was a substantial MoD file on the subject, which led to claims of a cover-up; some interpreted this as part of a larger pattern of information suppression concerning the true nature of unidentified flying objects, by both the United States and British governments (see the UFO conspiracy theory). One person to take this view was eyewitness and Deputy Base Commander Colonel Charles Halt (see below). Another was former NATO head and UK Chief of the Defense Staff Lord Peter Hill-Norton, who stated whatever happened at this USAF base was necessarily of national security interest. However, when the file was released in 2001 it turned out to consist mostly of internal correspondence and responses to inquiries from the public. Skeptics note that the lack of any in-depth investigation in the publicly released documents is consistent with the MoD's earlier statement that they never took the case seriously. Included in the released files is an explanation given by defense minister Lord Trefgarne as to why the MoD did not investigate further. The sightings have been explained as misinterpretation of a series of nocturnal lights – a fireball, the Orford Ness lighthouse and bright stars.
